Autotune: The Downfall of the Music Industry

What is Autotune? If you were to ask this question, you would get millions of different answers. If you were to ask one of those big-shot producers, they'd tell you that it's the whole backbone of there business. But if you were to ask me, I'd tell you this. Autotune is the Downfall of all that we all call music.

"But seriously, what does Autotune do?" 

Good question. Autotune is an editing program that practically grabs your voice and AUTOmatically corrects the TUNE and pitch of your voice. Making it sound good no matter how bad it sounds. 

Next question.

"What does this have to do with the Epic Fail that we now know as music?"

Another good question. Which deserves another good answer. You see, with the creation of Autotune. Singers have relied more and more on Autotune than ever before. In the 80's you'd have to have a nice beat AND an angelic voice. Now, all you'd have to do is make a nice beat and have Autotune ready. I'm not saying that there are NO good singers at all in our generation. I'm just saying that we RELY too much on Autotune. I mean, you don't even need to sing to get onto the top 100. (Look at Ke$ha.) Now I'm gonna hammer home my point by using the singing leopard (Look up) as a reference. I mean, you can record him growl for all you want, then just Autotune it and add a beat. Then voila! Another masterpiece.

Conclusion.

I'm not saying that Music is going to die. All that I'm trying to say is that if we will all rely on Autotune too much. And reject the old-fashioned method of SINGING. Music will be doomed to nincompoop. And maybe get round-house kicked in the face by Chuck Norris.

Anaklusmos 2010

ANAKLUSMOS 2010 IS COMING!

Ok. I know what you're thinking.

"What is Anaklusmos 2010?" We'll you see, Anaklusmos 2010 is a- "You geek."...

Anyways, Anaklusmos 2010™ is a meet up of Percy Jackson fans from Metro Manila, Philippines. It's happening on May 29,2010 at 1 P.M at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street. There are 50 slots allotted but are all taken. But...

Ok. Here's the BEST, and I mean BEST part. I WASN'T able to get one of those 50 slots. But I WAS able to nab one of the extra slots! Which means I AM GOING TO ANAKLUSMOS 2010! YES! WOOOOT! PARRTEHHHHH! Ok, calm down, find your happy place... Where was I? Oh yeah.

I'm going to take a wild guess here.

"Who is Percy Jackson?"

Percy Jackson is the greatest hero ever known to Greek Mythology. He's a demigod son of Poseidon. And the main protagonist of the Camp Half-Blood series. He finds out he's a Demigod when he turns 12 and goes to Camp Half-Blood for Training.

Over the next 5 years, Percy goes on numerous quests and battles monsters that are believed to belong only in the darkest corners of myths. Like the Minotaur, and even Medusa. He even goes on to save the world! (And falls in love with Annabeth, Daughter of Athena) SO... long story short, Percy Jackson saves the world, gets the girl and becomes (Unofficially) the greatest Hero ever known to Greek Mythology.

Back to what I was saying, Anaklusmos 2010 is coming and I am extremely psyched for it! If you're a fan of Percy Jackson and you live in Metro Manila. Then you should come over to Anaklusmos 2010! Headed by Jamie Spartz, Kris Go, Reena Dela Cruz and the Cooperation of Fully Booked, Inc.

By the way, if you ARE going to Anaklusmos 2010 make sure to look for me among all the participants. Just look for me, Enzo, Lead Counselor of the Athena Cabin at the Philippines branch of Camp Half-Blood.

The Ugly Truth.

Would you believe me if I said that the people who complain about the government are no worse than the politicians that they complain about themselves?

I know you would disagree with me because you're probably one of them. You see. If you live in the Philippines, you would know that last May 10, we've had our elections. This has struck me with fear because the last time we had our elections, we made Ferdinand Marcos incarnate' President. And now that we are having the elections again. I'm afraid that we made a wrong choice AGAIN.

The leading candidate for president now is Noynoy Aquino. At around 13 million votes, he's practically won the elections. What scares me here is that after reading and researching about him. I've found out that he has practically done zilch. Literally. I mean, he has written 9 bills and how many of those have been passed? None.

Now what I'm afraid of here is that we didn't choose the most qualified participants. We chose the most popular ones. I'm not hating on Noynoy or anything but I'd say that he Isn't the most qualified. If it were me, I'd say that either Gibo or Dick Gordon should've won. Contrary to the belief of the 13 million people who voted for Noynoy, I'd say that they only voted for him because of his parents.

Let's try to imagine 3 years into the future. Noynoy is president and everything. Let me be the first to tell you that the exact same people who voted for him will be the ones complaining about him as well, saying "He hasn't done much for the country" or "He's not a very good leader". He isn't! That's why I'm terrified by the fact that he's going to reside in the Malacanang Palace.

So who's to really blame? Us? The people with the right to vote? Or the Government Officials that we've voted for?

I'm just a kid. I can't vote yet. But when I do, I'll make sure that I'll vote for the right person. The person that is Qualified and Fit to lead our country.

My First Post.

Hey guys. My name is Enzo. You probably don't know me. And I take it that you have never heard of me. Ever. That's fine. Billions of other people in the world don't as well. But that is only temporary.

You see. When I become famous, all of you will know me. When I walk on the street, the people will part like the Red Sea. But the only problem is that I'm not. I'm stuck here living an average life while I should be on TV and magazines. But until then, I'm just going to keep on blogging.

I am writing this blog for the future generations who want to know about my childhood. I also write this blog for the Paparazzi who ask about my past. And let me tell you now. They WILL ask about me.

With that put aside. I'd like to let you know a littler more about me.

As of now, I am 12. My zodiac sign is Libra, and I love reading. My favorite show is Glee while my favorite past time is watching on Youtube. I play Tennis and I love to eat out at restaurants. My favorite radio station is Magic 89.9 and my favorite DJs are Mo, Grace Lee and Mojo Jojo.
